<<I am trying figure out all of the if's and butts before I get started...>>
As the old saying goes--"If 'ifs' and 'ans' were pots and pans, there'd be no need of tinkers!" <g>
As Cathryn says--make a list. I try to prioritize mine--the things that MUST get done are highlighted, or starred, or IN CAPS (or mentioned at 10-minute intervals!) And be sure to cross off what's been done (gives you a good feeling) as well as adding to the list as you discover the need.
With the hurricane, I found that the coop needs battens over any seams in the outside shell (no point insulating if there's going to be water leaking in, even if it *was* horizontal rain!)--and the flap for nest-box access swelled and needs to be planed down a tad (won't lock now, so any self-respecting raccoon or whatever can just lift it right up now--thank goodness "Nature" just had a program on raccoons, so DH just saw what they are capable of!) Plus we need a "greenhouse" attached to the coop so they'll have a snow-free space to run. And the concrete block base to my envisioned garden hot-bed is still sitting where I set it up *last* fall, wating for you-know-who to build the top!
