They are from Africa and can tolerate heat quite well. They actually tolerate the moderately cold, also..........but would need some heat in temps that stayed below freezing on a regular basis. Brrrrr.

Hi Charlene: Guinea Fowl are related to chickens. Close enough that some cross breeding can sometimes occur. They are really wild tropical birds. They have been bred for generations to produce a variety of colors but they are still essentially the same thing. I have my doubts as to how well they would do well in the land of the midnight sun
