On a similar subject--what's likely to be "amber" about amber links? I have two that were given to me. As far as I can tell they are plain white, maybe just a bit creamy around the neck. (In fact, I honestly can't tell them apart from the other two white ones that are supposed to be leghorns--same combs, earlobes, body shape, etc.!)
Since the amber links were supposed to be older than anything else (a month older than the leghorns), I'm assuming they are the current layers (one laying brown, one laying tan).
