[CHICKENS-101] Re: help! sick pullet attn Cathryn

My pullet really seems perkier today -- eating like crazy! yay! I guess the antibiotic has kicked in. whew. Let's hope I can reintroduce this submissive sweet gal back into the flock somehow once she's all recovered from whatever has been ailing her!

She's in a cage with a light bulb at night. So I went ahead and gave her tetroxy (the only antibiotic I can find around here). I came across a post that said 1.5 tsp per gallon. I hope that's right. Anyhow, I squirted some in her beak and also some more of the save a chick water. We let her out in the yard for a 1/2 hr and she took a dust bath but didn't really get too active or peck around too much.
> As for the hen, I gave her and several others from the flock some worminator this morning. I'll get the others in the flock later on (that stuff is tricky: you need to carefully watch each hen eat the little peice of bread I put the worminator on and make sure you keep things straight in your head!). She's more active than the pullet but still looks dis-shelved and fluffed up a lot.
