Re: [CHICKENS-101] chicken feed ingredients.

I can't free range either.
My white rocks have been so traumatized by hawks that they won't come out of their pens unless I am right there to guard them. The WLR bantam cornish stay in their house or unnder their tall weeds I planted in their pen for them.
My silkies hide up against the barn and in their shade shelters even though they are in covered pens; a hawk got in last summer where the new cover was not taken to the edge and the wild bird netting torn down. (I was a bit upset.) I love how my white rock rooster comes to me and talks to me, follows me around like a dog. He is such a personable rooster, (or a big chicken). He knows I'll use the net and/or rake if a hawk goes after them when they are out. Wonder how far I can hit a hawk in flight with a fiberglass handle rake. Used to be really really good at softball.
