Amy, in my case, I saw the worms in the poop. At first I thought maybe a
fly had laid eggs on the poop and they were fly maggots that hatched AFTER
the poop had been passed, but on closer inspection I recognized them as
tapeworms. I used to foster kittens and puppies for a rescue group so I had
seen something similar. I even found a picture online that matched exactly.
With roundworms, you don't usually see them in the poop until the worms are
so bad the chicken's life is in danger. By the time you see them in the
poop, the chickens will usually be lethargic, thin, dull feathers, pale
comb.
