 "Like water coming downhill after a rain?  It's not that much of a hill.  The spacing works better to run the planter beds uphill, toward the top of the property.  That's the direction the sun travels and that is the way the open space is laid out."

 

Cathryn's right, Georgia. Just think of the dust bowls and devastation in the Midwest in the l930's.
