Well Ronna don't worry about this group as no one has ever been banished
for "cross-posting". I do know some real strict groups do prohibit the
practice and will remove anyone that does. I would say the best
practice is to include the line .... "This message will be cross-posted
.... sorry if anyone receives multiple messages"
If one list can do all for everyone one then Yahoo would be just one
list and everyone would be happy .... it's not and most join at least a
few lists on a topic.
I know from experience that "emergencies" happen at odd hours ....so
people will
cross post to get info and answers fast.

I find it somewhat upsetting that if a person is trying to get as much
information as possible that a group would even consider banishment
just because the same question appeared on more that one group. I am
just trying to avoid some of the pitfalls that are common to newbies
(especially at the expense of the animals). Furthermore, it took a
couple of days before I began receiving feedback. As a result I
though that I had done something wrong when I tried to send my
question so I asked again. I am a member of 2 chicken groups. I did
not remember which site I asked the first time and it never occurred
to me I might be committing an unpardonable sin if my question
appeared on both sites.
I also wonder if EVERYONE in this group is also a member of the other
group..
My husband and I have been planning to begin our homestead since last
June. We are moving into our homestead this week. Forgive my over
excitement. I just want to be a responsible caregiver for any animals
I raise.
Once again, I apologize and I will try not to let it happen again.
