Laura .... if the chick is eating..drinking and pooping normally I'd say it should be OK. I have had a few with really wonky beaks that did well. I would say only issue is making sure others don't pick on it.

Hi,
I went to pick up a couple of turkey poults and of course, ended up coming home with two new chicks. One is a blue Modern Game and the other is a Polish. I would be so ecstatic if the MG didn’t have a problem.
It looks like it’s little beak got squished at the base where it meets the face. Like a pinch……and it is causing the top part of beak to point upwards……hmmm, hard to describe this without a photo.
Anyway, I don’t know if this chick is going to survive this injury/congenital defect…….whatever it is. It seems to gasp for air…….but it is eating and drinking and hopping into the feed dish and pooping……….so, maybe I will be wrong. I hope so. The Polish came along with it to keep it company.
He has more and I think if this little one doesn’t make it, he’ll make good and let me have another….I hope so, anyway. In the meantime, we are just keeping our fingers crossed.
