Well, after a week of on again - off again mixing, I think the 2 new chick are going to make it with the older ones. My goodness the older of the 2 is almost as big as some of the much older hens, but the smaller buddy is about half the size of the rest. One of the older ones is also kind of watching out for them and the rooster is OK with them, so they should make it.
Now to put the 8 wk old chicks in to the pen next to the main pen and get them used to each other. Hopefully by end of October I can mix them all together. What a learning process this has been, but do enjoy just sitting and watching them.__._,_.___
