Shannon, A bit of baked squash, any kind, or a can of green beans or corn, anything leftover, and the crumbs disappear very quickly. Mine are used to having to eat their crumbs. LOL! They have tons of garden goodies but are good birds and eat their feed first. Next trip up north I am stocking up on non GMO alfalfa bales. It was windy and rainy so I did not want to chance driving with the hard top bungee corded and have my feed get damp. I also have wheat, a good snack for cold nights for the egg layers that I mix into their feed. When it gets colder they will get non GMO scratch with their night feeding.

just make a wet mix out of their feed and see what happens ........
Never make more wet mix than they will eat in 45 minutes to an hours time . Make sure they have fresh cool water at all times .
