Sounds like your hens might be molting. A newbie myself, but my folks have been raising chickens for a few years. They had a drop in production like this when their ladies started to molt.
Could be too that your ladies are just taking a break. My girls just started laying but so far the girls seem to be giving me 5 or 6 eggs each week. Maybe your girls are all taking a "break" at the same time???

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Chickens not producing eggs ?
Yesterday collected 6 eggs and then today only collected 2 eggs. But months past I had eggs coming out of my ears not sure why this would be happening. Any ideas would be helpful and yes I'm quite new to this chicken so I could use all the help that you could provide me thanks..
