Subject: [CHICKENS-101] HELP... I think I killed my hatching eggs

My first try and I am using an 'old style' used Hova-Bator styrofoam incubator. I had the temp stable at 100 degrees for a half a day before putting my eggs in last night. This morning it read 105. I was very worried and immediately turned it down a quarter turn but had to leave for the day. When I got back the thermometer was at 104. I finally got it back down to 100 but do you think I should go ahead and toss this batch of eggs out and start again? They haven't even been in there for 24 hours yet and I may have killed them already. Will the eggs just not develope or will they develope abnormally into something that I will need to put them down due to defects? If it's the later, I would rather toss them now before they start developing.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Jennie (in CA)
