Laurie, Silkies are notorious for maturing later. One of my best of the best pullets, my best of breed champion pullets grew sex feathers and crowed at 8 months. LOL! He is still such a little doll that I will take a picture of him tonight, ok?

I don't know how old -- got them at the feed store and they didn't know. Since they are black, it is hard to see the "jowls" -- This black silkie stays to himself and the other black silkie. Still can't get over she turned into a he.
