Jeanette, the bott fly larve will crawl out of the bag and go somewhere to pupate, then you will have adult bott flies to lay eggs on your animals. They lay on healthy flesh. Ugh.

We have a burn ban in effect. I did put it in a feed bag and put it in the dumpster. I may go dig it out and tape the bag up.
