Well, don't wear skirts in the chicken yard.  I'm guessing you are coming home from work and going into the chicken yard before you change.  Change first!  I had my leg bloodied by a Silkie roo through my PANTS, so know you are leaving yourself vulnerable by not changing first. 

Hunkering down is a mating stance.  Do you have a rooster?  If not I think we all know why she is being mean!

I have no fear of chickens, but when I am wearing a skirt, and she pecks at my leg, that just kinda hurts, ykwim? My hubby got out there this morning and picked her up, so we shall see..I have several children as well that love to pick them up too..As soon as he went to pick her up, she went down like she was being submissive..So, we will see...
