I would have tried nutrition supplements in the water first before meds. The vitamins have to be in the water to work, (Dr. Fulton MSU). The canker and the cocci meds create a vitamin b deficiency problem in the bird, that is why the canker and cocci can't reproduce. B complex deficiency can cause a bird to go down, so can lack of e and selenium, D, et... Unless you have canker and salmonellae problems in your flock, those meds are usually considered last resort. There is no cure for canker and salmonellae. I would not use those meds. It could be mareks and it could be a case of vitamin deficiency too. Easier and cheaper to try the crushed up b complex and children's vitamins with minerals with sugar in water. Cathryn
