We gave my son some of our rooster to butcher and he put them in a dog crate in the back of his truck, well, they got real skittish and a wild and 3 of them got stepped on and killed. So he left those with us for hubby to butcher, we had bad storms here so he was delayed in putting them in the hot water and plucking the feathers.. they spent about 2 hrs out side on very hot weather then, he had to bring them inside to finish the job and it is now PM and he is plucking feathers on the last 2, but my concern is these 3 chickens have been dead since 2 PM and out of the refrigerator in hot weather, are they still safe to eat?I sure don't want to get sick over a $4 chicken..
thanks a lot
