| So far there are only 2, and the mom chicken was off the nest, eggs strewn all about. I brought the chicks into the house, brought the hen into the house, brought the eggs into the house and put them into the nest I created. Set the 2 chicks in with the eggs and plopped the hen onto the whole mess. Fixed her food (chick starter now) and water and put a quilt over the hutch. These are my first chicks hatched from my hen's eggs so it's a big moment. I believe there is another hen setting and of course, like the first one, I haven't a clue how long she's been on eggs.
