Shannon, Do you think it is ok to give them a bit of turnip greens?  I bake the turnips and serve them warm.  I like the stem part of the leaves to eat like a celery stick but one can only eat so many.  My parent's garden has lush sections of chickweed and baby grass that I am going to pull up and bring home tomorrow and scatter all over their outdoor pens.   I am hoping for a bit of warmer weather, at least 50, to get more dug out of the garden. I barely touched it today.  The winter pears are begging to be picked, and I have two apple trees to pick yet too.  I am over whelmed.
Our renter came over with receipts for a thermostat and needed the money now.  I am hoping to hire him to help me clean in the morning. I am up to being able to shovel 6 shovel fulls of dirty bedding at time - not enough- not fast enough.  I want to keep my chicks in nice condition.
