You guys are too funny! Thanks for all the replies! It has been confirmed that he's a roo by Stuart's method - he did his 'rooster thing' with the ladies. He's definitely crowing, but he's sneaky about it. I don't think he wants the other roos to know he's a roo. That way, when the main roos aren't looking, he can sneak in there...Cathryn, I don't see any streamers yet, but he may have a 'poofier' hat than the ladies!
His crow sounds like it is far away, even when he's not. Sounds like he's closed up in something and it's muffling the sound. Hmmm, maybe I should try that for the loud-mouthed roos.
And now I just found my sweet little OEG that I THOUGHT had been taken by a predator sitting on 9 eggs and a peep yesterday. So cute! I don't know if I should try to move her to safety, or let well enough alone? It was so cold here in Ohio last night, and she's so tiny! But with my luck, they will all hatch and 9 out of 10 will be roos...
