What ship dates were available when you ordered and which one did you select?  Did you receive a confirmation that the date you wanted was good? 

I've never ordered from any hatchery except Ideal and they are very easy to work with.  They will change an order, or a delivery date, do an add on, and it works out just fine.

After you receive this order, you might want to explore other hatchery options.

I'm sorry venting a bit here.. I ordered chicks from cackle hatchery..the beginning of Feb.  I received a notice about 2 weeks later that I would be getting an email when I would be receiving my chicks. Finally got it.. and they won't even ship until the middle of April.. ugh!!!!
Well I talked with them because had I known I would have ordered Turkeys with them.. to save on shipping.. (their turkeys don't ship until april). they won't add to an order.. and oh by the way they charge 10% for any cancellations.. On their website only on their mail order page.. down at the bottom does it say that there will be a 10% charge for cancellations.
Now do you think this is good practice.. or am I just being impatient and unreasonable.
I;m really upset.. because now I can't get any birds until the middle of April..
