Folks;
I recently read a suggestion on how to keep both hawks and starlings out of your yard. the writer said to get a owl decoy with a swivel head. the head moves around in the wind and the decoy looks "alive".
I haven't tried this yet but do have a decoy on order.
Has anyone out there tried this?

(2 wks is what when heart dr said I could fire my shotgun.) We'd let their chickens out and I would just accidentally pick off the huge hawks when the hawks tried to get their chickens. > Know what you mean - I have a Rottie who 'runs' the place. She loves everyone. I do believe that she would 'love' to eat my chickens, however, the fact that it would make me unhappy stops her. Instead, she chases off coons and stray dogs and protects the hens just as if she were second in line to eat them. Haha - silly dog.
