[CHICKENS-101] RE: Mama hen feed & resuming laying

 

I checked with our Wilco where I had purchased that bag of Chick Starter & they said it was medicated.  However, since my chicks are now 2 & 3 weeks old, they said I didn't need to use that anymore.  They said it just gives them a good start.  They had Purina Start & Grow crumbles that are 18% & non-medicated, so I got that to give mom & chicks.  Since Layena is 16% (I believe), thought that extra bit of protein would be ok for moms, since they went quite a while without much to eat.
