Hi Tiger:The number of hens a rooster can service depends a great deal on the stamina of the rooster. A young rooster will be able take care of more hens than on old one. I have heard all kinds of numbers from 6::1 to 20::1. Many breeders I have talked to say that a hen should be separated from a roo for at least 3 weeks to be sure it is not the parent.
