I had tried heating pads for duck eggs, and I ended up cooking the
darlings. I got a Little Giant Styrofoam incubator, and my success rate
went up from 0/12 to about 2/3. I successfully incubated and hatched
six eggs, and still have two hatches. One was rehomed, one died five
days after hatching, two met untimely ends with raccoons this past fall,
and two will be six years old this September. Little Giants have to be
put in draft-free areas, or the temps will wildly vary. It helps to
have two thermometers and at least one hygrometer to check temps and
humidity. Best wishes with your incubation.
