Ronnie,I am so sorry to hear of your loss.I have never seen any opossums here until the other night.I saw a big fat one in front of the house.I shined the light on him and he paid me no mind.I went in to get the gun and Chris did not want me to shot him.I did not have time to argue with him whether they ate chickens or not.I told him "ask google"and ran out.I got back outside and could not find it anywhere. It is like it just vanished.I looked for the varmint for thirty minutes!I remember reading a long time ago on here someones dog alerted them that something was in the hen house and they killed the beast but I can't remember now who posted it.I remember the pic.though of the dead opossum.I never knew they would kill like that though! So thank you for posting. When Chris gets home I will sit him down to read this.I think he will run out for it next time after reading your post!So thank you.Through your loss you may have saved another chickens life.Brittney
