We go through this every couple of months, sigh.  He got carried around by his feet for a while, then I tucked him under one arm while I filled waterers.  He thought he'd peck me one more time so I turned him over.  Still under my arm but now head down, feet up.  I'm sure tomorrow he will act like a good boy.

Critters are such a hoot! It sounds like your young boy has more smarts than the other roo! That attacking the one who feeds you is a baaad choice and especially for a roo!
