They left the rind and there were not any seeds. I'd look up the seeds to see if there are any nutrients in them and if they are safe to eat. Can't lemon peel be grated, dried, stored and used as lemon zest? It's a great flavoring for foods. I'd not use much though. The pesticides are in the peel. Cathryn

Interesting. They don't eat the peel though, right? I use 4+ lemons a day, but my juicer pretty much gets all the juice and pulp. What About seeds/pits? would it be OK to feed them those?
Between recycling and feeding scraps to the chickens and horses, I'm not making any kitchen compost anymore! All I've got is lemon rinds.
