One of my aerecana pullets had a run in with my horse (I think). She had a slight scuff on her leg, but no swelling that I can tell, yet, she is not putting weight on it, if she can help it. She keeps it off the ground and kind of hops then puts a little weight and hops again. When I pick her up and try to get her toes to curl around my finger, she doesn't clench. Everything seems to bend okay. I'm keeping her confined, but I'm not sure if I should wrap and splint it for support or just let it heal while she is confined. I am really not even sure if it is in her shoulder, opposed to her lower leg.
Any suggestions?
