Morning all,
We're in the UK and have had a few nights of frost that doesn't even go all day as it never warmed up enough. Unfortunately there seem to be quite a few feathers in my coop, and I think 2 of my 3 hens are moulting. I'm giving them extra mealworms and corn on top of their normal layers pellets to help with cold and re-growth, but is there something that I have missed out in their diet/environment for them to start moulting at such a daft time? Also, I've not seen an egg for well over a week and they laid all last winter. They free range in the garden.
Thanks for any advice,
Jenny
