I thought scratch was supposed to be fed when it was cold for extra protein to keep them warm?  Am I mis-informed?

 
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

Feeding corn scratch is like feeding white bread and powdered doughnuts to kids everyday until they are full.
