Do they have enough calcium? I grind up my egg shells and feed them back to the chickens with their feed. ACV in their water may be a boost for them also. Not much help, but good luck. Are they young chickens? Susan

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] bumpy eggs with thin shells
Hi guys! haven't been around in a while, no news is good news!! All is well except for the last few weeks I've had one of my girls laying eggs that have a bumpy-gritty build up on the narrow end of the egg, and the shells are so thin that they are broken about 99% of the time when I go to collect. This is only one girl...any thoughts?? the bumps range from tiny round grains of sand-to larger barnacles.
thanks for any info!
