I too have had no problems they are my favorite chicken I will never get another.
An old timer told me if the hens or roosters get out of hand for any reason go right up to them and point your finger and say in a very stern voice to stop it or get away and gently shove them with your foot. anytime they run up to you like they are about the charge stoop them in their tracks and use a stern voice to stop them. you can train the like a dog, It worked for me when my girls (not RIR's)started to jump up on me. It really works.

I am a relative newbie but I have no trouble with my RIRs and the one rooster is the most friendly of all 30 (assorted breeds) ... has been since day one - that may change once he gets to "sowin his oats" but so far he is a peach... they are 13 weeks now...
