Britt, I think it is heart breaking for the adoptive family too. They carefully pick out their pet and pay all the fees. For 30 days they have trained, bought treats, vet check, food, toys, beds, et... and bonded with their dog. Then they are expected to hand it over without feeling a sense of loss and leaving a hole in their life. It's a no win situation for them. I understand the family wanting their dog back, and the shelter was wrong. Cathryn
And Deb,That was something about Annie.I heard about it from a Sheltie lady.The adoptive family only had the dog for a month!I could not keep someone elses dog like that!Knowing the dog was missed so much.I am glad they did the right thing finally and gave her back to Chuck!I think they would have had a really hard time if they did not.People even started a facebook page called Friends of Annie with over 400 members last I saw.
