Marlene, I can't figure it out. The little wing in front of the gate is the first joint only and there are only a couple of feathers in their pen. Nothing else anywhere, like they never existed. If someone grabbed the littlest by their little wing instead of feet, do you think the first joint of their wing could tear off? They are all gone, no sign in the yard, nothing. Is there an animal that takes the entire bird if they could make a small hole in the top of the fencing? Wouldn't there be feathers? I am wondering if it was human predators. Can't imagine and am going to go back out and search their pen top again for holes. The sides are woven horse fence and galvanized poultry fencing, the top galvanized poultry fencing, the expensive stuff. Every single one of my precious PeeWees are gone, disappeared into thin air. These are the pheasants John hatched for me, brooded in his dining room, and drove all the way from Ionia to my house to gift to me.
I want to go and sit and cry over them. I loved my babies that thought they were silkies and acted like them. Cathryn
Cathryn,
> Gone all at once.
I am so sorry, how sad to loose them like that, what a heartbreak,
Marlene
