Deb, Probably about as entertaining as my friend Bill's retired, show, light brahma hens, (huge birds), and my silkies. The hens would even sit down but the roosters would end up standing on their back confused or mixing up their wings or heads... Cathyrn
Boy do I ever know "That look"! We had a terrible rooster...a big Polish Crested, a long time ago. He was sneaky and persistent about attacking and he was serious. He had spurs and he knew how to use 'em! We used to spray him with the hose until he was totally soaked and he STILL wouldn't stop attacking! He was the type that would fight to the death, I guess. We did give him away to a woman who thought he was so beautiful and she had him for her hens for quite a while till a coyote got him. I don't think we'll ever have a full sized rooster again. We have several Jersey Giant hens now and only little OE Banty roosters. If you don't think THAT is a circus!
