My little bantam cochin frizzle jumps on my chihuahuas if they get too close to his hens and I have chased him off a few times so now he thinks twice but if I had a standard chicken that was doing that he would be gone. Once they turn nasty you can't really trust them anymore. You can try carrying him around turned backwards for five minutes or so, that worked on my bantam roos but I had a lt brahma rooster that was the hugest roo I had ever seen and I never could break him.
