Re: [CHICKENS-101] Blue Boy & Flo

Sheryl, I use pine bedding.  This winter I want to put bales of straw thru the chipper and use part wheat straw too.  I've never used the pelleted bedding.  Is it possible to get a load of coarse sand and raise their yard?
I had better run out and shut the doors my birds go in and out of.  The weather changed to a low of 48 tonight.  My chicks are going to get chilled if I do not shut a few doors and block direct drafts. Cathryn

What kind of bedding do you use Cath?   Is it safe to use the pelletized bedding for chickens?  I got some to use in the part of their yard that gets too moist.  Moisture here in south Louisiana is always a problem.
