Has anybody ever tried noise aversion with an aggressive rooster? I wonder what Chester's response would be if when he came at you or one of the dogs, an air horn was blown. It might knock his socks off and scare the poop out of him, but it might not bother him at all. They're cheap, though, so maybe worth a try.
I also wonder about the shock collars they make for dogs. It would have to be one with a very low charge so you didn't fry him, and you would have to figure out a way to keep in on him - maybe something like a chicken diaper arrangement - but used judiciously when necessary, it might alter his behavior enough to save him from the stew pot.
