[CHICKENS-101] PeeWees - my pheasant chicklets

I put my precious jumbo and golden pheasant  PeeWees in their own 20'x 30' outdoor pen w/ a shelter that I had made into a pheasant heaven for them.  They were getting out of their tubs in the kitchen by jumping together and knocking their cover off to come to me, even when I put a gallon of soap on top. (Several were getting pretty large)  Yesterday I went to go and sit out with my pheasants, play with them on my lap and they were all gone except for a couple of feathers and one small wing outside their gate.  Every single one of my babies are gone!  I am heart sick.  They hated being in the baby barn so I gave them their own pen with tall weeds and grass, little shelters, food and water under the big shelter, and was going to have a wood house I could heat for winter put in it.  Looked all around and found a small hole torn in the top of the pen.  I am sick.  I even had their pen so if they wanted into the barn when it started getting cold, I could open a window to let them go in and out, have their own main barn pen. A friend hatched them special for me.  I kept them in the house as long as I could, playing with them, and loving on then. When they wanted me to hold them they would cry peewee, Peewee, PeeWee!!!! What in the world would get into their pen and take the entire bird and all of them, except for a tiny wing?  If there wasn't the one little wing outside the gate I'd think someone had stolen them.  There is a lock but sometimes the guys forget to lock the lock on it and I had open house the one night and was sick another.  The gate is always latched. We have to lock up everything here, barns and outdoor pens. Two or three feathers, one little wing, and no other trace of them.  Gone all at once. Cathryn
