[CHICKENS-101] Cathryn's Missing Chicklets
Cathryn, I'm just catching up on my email after having been sick over the weekend. Your poor little pheasant chicklets! All the time effort and emotional energy you invested in them - stolen from you - as well as all the future pleasure you would gave gotten out of them. It's just awful.
I have no doubt that it was a human being who robbed you; all the signs point to it. I would inform the police and animal control just in case the culprits get careless and are spotted with their ill-gotten gains.File a police report. Let the word out. Your husband should be ale to spread it via the bar crowd to places you would never reach. The chances are that the babes are being kept somewhere to grow to maturity; I doubt that they were prematurely slaughtered.
Definitely take people's advice and get some surveillance camaras, and tell no one that you have them. Loose lips sink ships. If it's legal, I would hotwire your barns and pens, too, and at lest keep it turned on at night.
This is just so horrible. You've had so much to do with moving rooms and buildings and reorganizing lessons plans for a different set of pupils, recuperating from your ablation, and everything else! It kills me that you have to put up with even more.
If I graphically explained what I hope happens to the perpetrators, Pete would kick me off the list and Yahoo would sign out a warrant for my arrest. Think flaying. I'll just let you fantasize.
