Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Moving a Nesting Turkey

Oh Bonnie how well I know ...going on 12 years since my last vacation (
that was 2 weeks going by myself for medical reasons ) so I know being
gone isn't in the cards. Now about two years ago youngest daughter
graduated ... she was now out of 4-H ... hey maybe we could cut critters
and get away for a weekend :-) Well that lasted for a few months until
oldest abandon her 2 kids and we went and took them home with us. Now
4-H, scouts, soccer, T-ball and heaven knows what else will come along
:-) LOL now looking forward to next school year when the youngest will
be in Kindergarten and in school all day :-) Just when you think you
have it all figured out....................

So, when I sold my horse so that Hubby and I could spend more time together, I didn't foresee our first trip being planned the same time as a hatching clutch :-(. Hubby wasn't happy when I told him that I didn't think I could go because of hatching chickens (turkey hen took over the brooding of chicken eggs). He never has had my love of chickens! I appreciate your input. I will move them as soon as possible so that I can be here in case of any negative issues in the beginning. Thanks again, Bonnie
