Pete, Brussel sprouts need to be home grown, in cool weather, and have a frost on them so they are sweet and mild. I have bought some at the store that were bitter and gross tasting. I understand why people hate brussel sprouts if the store is their only source for them. Cathryn
Well Vickie I guess there is no accounting for poor taste an it must run in families :-) Brussel Sprouts are like castor oil ... the scourge kids everywhere .... parents force these tiny wanta be cabbages down the throats of innocent children ...even the family dog has enough sense to vacate the room when they are served :-)
