Well Vickie I guess there is no accounting for poor taste an it must run in families :-)  Brussel Sprouts are like castor oil ... the scourge kids everywhere ....  parents force these tiny wanta be cabbages down the throats of innocent children ...even the family dog has enough sense to vacate the room when they are served :-)

As far as cabbage being toxic, I feed coleslaw mix to my chickens in the winter. I buy the bags that are marked down or cheap at the flea market. They love it.
