Heather, Could you advertise on chicken groups in your area that you are looking for one? Check with your 4-H club? Maybe even fine someone in your 4-H club that would either sell you a couple of mixed breed broodies reasonably or put your eggs in their incubator for a small fee? my red laced polish bantams have started laying eggs now. i would love to hatch some but i have no incubator and right now we dont have the money to buy one due to my daughter needing surgery. is there any way i can incubate them without one? this is our first year for us wanting to raise polish bantams. also i have 2 americauna chicks that are 3 weeks old, they were given to me and id like to know how to sex them?
