[CHICKENS-101] Location, location, location of chicken coop

 

Hi, I am rather new to this site and have been observing for a while. My family intends on starting up with some chicks this spring and are in the planning stages. Our first quandry (of which there will be many) is where to put the coop and run. We have an area that is shaded among some trees and thought this would be a great location in the summer, but are unsure how they will fare in the winter. I was also wondering if the trees would give predators access. Would some of you please let me know what the best outdoor environment would be?
