We live in a rural area about 20 miles from the post office, on a private lane that is about a half mile. Our mailbox sits at the end of our lane, on a state road……and technically, the postal service is to our mailbox. BUT………..and I say that with ALL CAPS……..our carrier, Dana, is wonderful. If we have a package that doesn’t fit in the box, she doesn’t leave us a notice ……..she brings it to us. If we have gobs of mail and it won’t fit, she’ll bring that, too.
One morning, at the Post Office, she was getting ready to head out and she heard peeping. She went over and checked the box and it had our name on it. She picked up the box and brought it straight to us………this was a first since I have always driven to the post office in the wee hours after my, “Your chicks are here” phone call.
Dana likes to come to our farm because she says she sees something new every time she comes out.
She really should come see this baby goat……..

We had just moved to the area so I was worried that the PO wouldnt handle it correctly ( I also was unaware how often ppl ship chickens)
but my
I feel bad that some of these threads have turned into anti-mail order rants... I realy wasnt THAT aggravated .. just wish they had included a "packing slip" of what they DID include so I had some idea
All in all we were very happy with MM .. now, had I ordered 100% one breed and got something else mixed in I would have been more bothered...
