Do all roosters crow at night, despite all those measures? I've had some
that crowed at all hours of the night even though I had ended up putting
them in an enclosed, dark box at night. And they did crow all during the
day too. I've often wondered if only "young" roosters do that. I'd love to
have a rooster, but as the chickens' part of the property is lined with
neighboring houses, I've never been able to keep them. We're pretty built
up here too. I'm the only one with an acre and one neighbor that has a ½
acre. Everyone else on the street has normal lot sizes.

Jane,
I am glad you can keep your roosters now. Mine are pretty good most of the
time until they see daylight. When my check comes in, I may consider
putting a cloth over the door.
