Wow that sounds like it would be an interesting story to hear? Did she meet your dad in UK? Or Did she emigrate then meet him & thehn get married? Did she ever miss the uk ? & You ? My sister breifly lived in a housing compound made up of shared houses for single women with children & flats for families & sometimes single men with kids. Who had no - where else to live before they got re housed. It had quite a few women who had fallen for American men (soldiers) emmigrated to USA then got too homesick & come back & divorced.
A year later my sister married an American He is from Guam & thats where they retired to & they are still together My other sister did too. She is in Iowa. Jane & co
